The context
ReservaQuebec takes the ReservaBabi product to the Canadian market. The same application foundation, but a radically different regulatory and payment environment.
What changes compared with ReservaBabi
- Payments: Stripe Canada and Interac replace Mobile Money.
- Bilingual FR/EN end to end (i18n), with French as the default.
- Compliance: Law 25 (protection of personal information) and Law 96 (primacy of French) — consent, language of service, data handling.
Why it is interesting technically
Taking a product to a new market without forking it: put payment behind a port, move every piece of copy out of the code, and make compliance configurable rather than hard-coded. That is what lets a single monorepo serve two markets.
